Monsters & Memories character stats: read the sheet before a camp
Review M&M resources, attributes, resistances, and carried weight without reducing the character to a made-up gear score.
A character sheet should help you answer a practical question: what preparation does this character need for the planned session? It should not become a single number that pretends to describe every class and encounter.
The official New Player Guide places persona, statistics, and resistances in the inventory window. Use the current client as the reference for your readings. This guide explains how to collect and review them, not hidden combat formulas.
Keep identity beside the readings
Before comparing values, confirm character name, class, race, level, server, optional faith, and the context of the screenshot. Note whether the character was affected by buffs or a temporary setup. A sheet from another character or an earlier build should not silently become the current readiness check.
Use the same review conditions when comparing two sessions. A change in maximum health may reflect a changed setup, not just permanent progression.
Review four groups of values
| Group | Readings to keep visible | Question for the organizer |
|---|---|---|
| Resources and defense | Maximum Health, Mana, Endurance, and Armor Class | Are these readings current for the setup the player will bring? |
| Attributes | Strength, Stamina, Dexterity, Agility, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma | Which readings matter to the planned responsibility, according to current class information? |
| Resistances | Cold, Corruption, Disease, Electric, Fire, Holy, Magic, and Poison | Is a resistance requirement actually relevant to this destination? |
| Carrying | Carried weight and weight capacity | Has the player prepared their inventory for the trip and expected haul? |
Do not replace an unknown value with zero. Zero is a real reading. Preserve a negative resistance if the client shows it. Do not invent a target or claim that every class should maximize the same attribute.
For Health, Mana, and Endurance displayed as current/maximum, keep the maximum when recording capacity. A partly depleted resource bar is different from a smaller resource pool.
Make screenshots useful to reviewers
Capture the character identity and readable sheet values. Avoid cropping away the part that establishes whose character is shown. Keep equipment tooltips as supporting evidence when a specific item needs discussion.
Screenshot reading can misinterpret small text. Review the extracted values against the image before relying on them. A saved image is useful evidence even when automated reading cannot extract the complete sheet.
Turn the review into one preparation step
Start with the camp’s actual needs. If a relevant value is missing, ask for it. If a reading looks unusual, confirm the setup and the image. Discuss the next useful change instead of labeling the entire character unready based on one unexplained number.
Guild Manager’s character fields depend on the guild’s game configuration. Use the member’s character details and shared screenshots where available. The application’s fields are a record of readings, not a publisher-approved stat calculator.
