Black Desert Online guild guide: Family identity and war readiness
Keep BDO recruitment, Family names, combat characters, and Node War assignments clear to your officers.
A Black Desert roster needs an identity officers can recognize and a combat character they can assign. Keep the member’s Family name visible, then attach the character and setup relevant to the activity. A Discord nickname alone is a fragile reference when people change names.
Ask for relevant readiness
Recruitment should record region, Family name, main class, normal availability, and the activities the applicant wants. Explain your war commitments, social expectations, and whether trials are scheduled.
Request the current combat setup for the activity. A general gear number can help with an initial conversation, but it does not explain experience, assigned duties, or readiness for a specific rule set. Confirm the applicable restrictions in the current regional Adventurer’s Guide.
Make war assignments understandable
Prepare a main force, supporting assignments, callers, and substitutes according to your event’s needs. Write down the rally time separately from the combat start. Give members a place to ask preparation questions before officers finalize assignments.
For example, a new member assigned to support needs to know who leads that group and when to report ready. “Join voice” is not enough of a briefing.
Keep attendance honest
A member who signed up but never arrived is different from someone who covered a support task for the whole event. Review attendance against the announced commitment. Tell members how partial attendance and reserve duty are treated.
Use voice attendance as evidence to review, not a complete description of participation. Someone can remain connected while absent, or perform useful work outside the main channel. Resolve exceptions before using the result for rewards or discipline.
Finish with a useful debrief
Record the outcome, the missing assignments, and one adjustment for the next event. Avoid turning every debrief into a public ranking of individual players. Training needs and recruitment needs are easier to act on when tied to a specific role or task.
Keep contracts, rank permissions, and game-specific rewards aligned with current in-game rules. A coordination tool can document decisions, but officers still need to carry out the appropriate game actions.
Put the plan into practice
Keep your roster, event commitments, and decisions together with Guild Manager’s guild tools. For Discord setup and participation checks, read the command guide and voice attendance guide.
