World of Warcraft guild guide: retail rosters, raid goals, and Mythic+
Organize retail WoW character commitments, raid progression, Mythic+ groups, substitutes, and activity-specific loot expectations.
Retail World of Warcraft guilds often run several different kinds of groups. A raid roster, a Mythic+ team, and a social leveling group do not need identical commitments. Let each activity ask for the character and preparation it actually uses.
Recruit for a real schedule and goal
State region, guild realm context, raid nights, current progression, and intended difficulty. Ask for the applicant’s character, specialization, prepared off-role, experience, and availability.
Explain whether the guild is teaching, progressing, or farming. Verify current cross-realm and cross-faction conditions before promising a particular arrangement. Rules can change between expansions.
Separate character flexibility from available players
Attach alternate characters to their owner. Ask each signup to commit to one character and specialization for the event. A player willing to heal can help only if that setup is ready and someone covers the assignment they leave.
Tell substitutes how they will be called and whether they should remain available. Publish the expected end time so early departures can be arranged without interrupting progression.
Make the raid invitation complete
Include the encounter goal, gathering time, difficulty, preparation, and substitute policy. Save the progression point after each session. Distinguish a learning night from a scheduled clear.
For Mythic+, give the group a separate objective: learning a dungeon, completing a target, or practicing a specific responsibility. Do not use raid availability as proof that the same members want a fixed dungeon schedule.
Keep loot rules within the game’s restrictions
Check the current activity’s loot eligibility, lockout, and trading rules before publishing priorities. Explain how the guild handles main and off-role requests, substitutes, and any assignable reward. Officers cannot promise to trade an item the game does not allow them to transfer.
After the session, record unresolved loot decisions and one preparation goal. Recruit for the recurring missing responsibility. A clean handoff between organizers is often more useful than adding another requirement to the application form.
Put the plan into practice
