TLGM vs Throney: TL Guild Manager is now GuildManager
TL Guild Manager (TLGM) is now GuildManager. It is the next version of TLGM, built by the same team, and it is free for guilds of any size: the free plan has no member cap and needs no credit card.
Throney publishes a TLGM alternative page that compares itself with TLGM. Several of its claims are out of date or wrong, and we answer each one below with the page it comes from.
Throney is a Throne and Liberty guild tool with a Discord bot and web dashboard. Its free plan covers up to 20 players and Pro costs $7.50 a month. Core is $19.99 a month, or $14.99 a month billed yearly, for up to 4 guilds. CoGM's pricing page says it is from the team behind throney.gg.
Existing TLGM guilds can move their members, characters, DKP balances, activities, and applications to GuildManager.

Corrections
Throney publishes pages comparing itself with TLGM and with GuildManager. These claims were inaccurate when we checked on 2026-10-07.
- "Same features. Half the price." ($7.50/mo vs $14.99-19.99/mo)
- GuildManager Free has no member cap, while Throney's free plan stops at 20 players. Core is $19.99 a month, or $14.99 a month billed yearly, for up to 4 guilds, and alliances of up to 8. For one T&L guild that needs paid features, Throney Pro is cheaper; for a guild that fits the free plan, GuildManager costs nothing at any size. Source: Throney vs TLGM, checked 2026-10-07.
- "Screenshot upload extracts combat power, gear score, and equipment automatically. TLGM doesn't have this."
- GuildManager reads Throne and Liberty character screenshots through /gear update in Discord and the web gear upload, on every plan. It fills gear score and visible character attributes into class-specific gear tracking. We do not claim equipment-slot recognition. Source: Throney vs TLGM (tools page), checked 2026-10-07.
- Multi-Guild Alliance: Throney "4 guilds", TLGM "Limited".
- GuildManager alliances hold up to 8 guilds, twice Throney's 4. Source: Throney vs TLGM, checked 2026-10-07.
- Free tier: Throney "Under 20 players". The GuildManager page lists GuildManager's free tier as "Varies".
- Under 20 players is Throney's own cap. GuildManager's free plan is one guild with unlimited members. Source: Throney vs GuildManager, checked 2026-10-07.
- Throney's GuildManager page marks GuildManager's Discord bot integration as "Limited" and suggests GuildManager if "You prefer web-only tools".
- GuildManager has a Discord bot with slash commands for activities, voice attendance, auctions, rewards, LFG, applications, wishlists, loot, rolls, and gear, plus role sync and reminders. Members sign in with their Discord account. Source: Throney vs GuildManager, checked 2026-10-07.
Common questions
- Is TLGM the same as GuildManager?
- Yes. GuildManager is the next version of TL Guild Manager (TLGM), built by the same team. TLGM was made for Throne and Liberty; GuildManager keeps its guild tools and adds more games. New guilds are created on GuildManager.
- Can I move my TLGM guild?
- Yes. Guild leaders start the move from TLGM. It copies members, characters, gear scores, ranks and roles, supported DKP balances and history, activities with the last 90 days of attendance, and applications. Members sign in to GuildManager with the same Discord account.
- Does GuildManager have gear OCR?
- Yes, for Throne and Liberty, on every plan including Free. Upload a character screenshot with /gear update in Discord or through the web gear upload. GuildManager reads gear score and visible character attributes into class-specific gear tracking. Check the values against the screenshot; you can still edit them by hand. We do not claim full equipment-slot recognition.
- How many guilds can an alliance have?
- Up to 8 guilds per alliance on GuildManager Core. Throney Pro supports up to 4 guilds. Alliances are not part of either free plan.
- Which one is cheaper?
- GuildManager Free includes one guild with unlimited members. Core is $19.99 a month, or $14.99 a month billed yearly, for up to 4 guilds. CoGM Pro is $10 per guild each month and Throney Pro is $7.50 per month, so both cost less than Core for one paid guild. Core costs less than separate CoGM Pro subscriptions once you need two to 4 guilds.
- Is Throney the same company as CoGM?
- CoGM's pricing page says it is from the team behind throney.gg. CoGM runs as the multi-game platform and Throney as its Throne and Liberty site.
