Officer roles and permissions for WoW Forever guilds
Guild roles decide who can schedule raids, record attendance, award loot or review applicants. Officers can never grant a permission they do not hold themselves.
Core. Custom roles and the permissions settings page are part of Core, as is Discord role sync. Free guilds use the default roles.

Start from a template
Role templates cover common officer jobs: Event Organizer, Event Coordinator, Attendance Moderator, Loot Manager, Recruiter and Treasurer. Adjust any of them or build a role from individual permissions, such as viewing sealed bids or recording attendance.
Roles and Discord
Link a guild role to a Discord role and Guild Manager keeps them in sync. The guild owner always keeps full access.
Set it up
- Open guild settings and go to Roles and permissions.
- Create a role from a template or from scratch, and order the hierarchy.
- Assign roles to members and link Discord roles if you want them synced.
Common questions
- Can an officer give someone more access than they have?
- No. Guild Manager rejects a role change that grants permissions the officer does not hold.
- Are role changes recorded?
- Yes. Role and permission changes appear in the audit log.
